Excellent, found threads so useful this year. I'll start looking for bargains, seen nothing yet!

kingkuta · 21/01/2021 10:30

Well obviously its not Tiffany's WisestIsShe but the quality is surprisingly good, the sale prices are excellent. Everything comes nicely packaged so make great little token gifts or stocking fillers.

Daisy829 · 21/01/2021 11:00

Hmmmm I’m wondering about the mesh bracelet that comes in a bauble as a stocking filler for my 10 year old from Buckley. I wonder if it might be too big for her though.

InDreamland · 22/01/2021 13:31

Ooooh checking in. I love the Christmas bargains threads, saved me absolutely loads last year so hoping for the same this year.

I've already managed to finish all Christmas presents shopping and birthday presents for this year for 3 extended family members and I know they'll love their gifts. Also started on sticking fillers for other family members and DD plus stocked up on wrapping paper and Christmas cards.

So far got great sale discounts from Frugi, Joules, Next, Ralph Lauren, H&M, Rex London, Poundtoy and WHSmith.

I also bought a load of lovely birthday cards from Paperchase using a £10 off new customer online voucher.

seasideseas · 22/01/2021 16:56

8% topcashback for Buckley and a code there for 10% off too!

Daisy829 · 22/01/2021 18:57

I was really happy with the all stuff I got. I’ve never purchased from Rex London before but arrived today & it’s great

sorryiasked · 22/01/2021 19:15

These just popped up on Amazon - 3 pairs of ladies xmas socks for £2.49, with good reviews.

I used to buy ahead a lot when my dc were younger but I find it so much harder now they are teens as their taste may have changed so much by December

Daisy829 · 22/01/2021 19:29

@treeeeemendous I agree. My kids are only 6 & 10 but I will only buy stocking fillers at this stage. Main pressies much closer to the time.

I've ordered a few times from Buckley and been really pleased with their things especially bracelets.
CaramelCandle · 23/01/2021 08:15

So glad this is back! Want to cut right back on toys this year as they have far too many already. Was thinking about getting them a TV and games console as joint presents for their room as main gift then some useful stocking fillers.

superstar84 · 24/01/2021 20:40

Amazon have a Melissa and Doug stencil set for £4.99

It's £17 in most other places

Ours arrived today and it looks fantastic

I've ordered another for the Xmas box!

jerichosp · 24/01/2021 21:09

@superstar84 which set is it please? They have a few

AdoraBell · 24/01/2021 21:10

Place marking

superstar84 · 24/01/2021 21:12

It was this one but not it's out of stock

Worth keeping an eye out

Present tracking app.
I can’t remember which was recommended last Xmas and by who but if I start this early I’ll need to use one. Please can anyone recommend one that they’ve used. Thanks

lachy · 24/01/2021 21:21

I use this app, have used it for a few years now!

Not sure if anyone has posted about this yet but may as well :).

I sell on Amazon and at the moment sellers of toys are having a nightmare due to new requirements of safety certificates for the toys we sell - which aren't easy to get. I for example currently have 26 different products that I haven't managed to get them for, and if I don't sell out before Feb 8th they get returned to me or destroyed (I choose which - but pay for both options).

So, sellers are pricing their toys low to try and shift stock as it's easier than a) finding the compliance docs or b) having a pile of stock sent back. I have huge multiples of the 26 products so I for one have lowered my own prices. Closer to the deadline I'll set everything to £1 if I have to!!

But just to make you aware that this is going on, so you may well find some amazing bargains over the next two weeks as sellers frantically try to sell out of the goods we can't source docs for!!!!

Won't give examples as that'd be advertising and unfair, but generally there will be thousands of good deals to be grabbed from thousands of sellers :).

superstar84 · 24/01/2021 21:31

Is there a way to find these deals on amazon for those toys?

jerichosp · 24/01/2021 21:43

@superstar84 I got one. There were 2 left in stock. Would also be interested in how to source these deals!

Someaddedsugar · 24/01/2021 22:01

That's such a shame for you (and the other sellers) @LindaEllen. As much as I love a bargain isn't there anything Amazon can do to support you? Apologies as I know this goes against the spirit of the bargains thread!

It'll be okay in the long term as we know how to abide by the rules - just a pain with certain things we have in stock at the moment that were purchased before the requirements changed! It's not everything, a minority of items, but I just thought I'd post in here as then at least some people could benefit 😂.
Iseeyoulookingatme · 25/01/2021 12:58

Tom Gates book set was reduced to £4 in Tescos today but scanned for £2 at the till.

LastStarFighter · 25/01/2021 14:28

I'm so glad the thread is back!!!!! Grin

A bit of a long shot, but would anyone be able to PM me a student discount code for Dell? They do 20% student discount, but annoyingly it's just for uni, not for school (purchase is for my eldest DS).
