Anyone else want to join as I’ll be up past midnight! 2 out of 4dc still to wrap for, and all 4 lots to be snuck into rooms. Only just about to start as had to collect guinea pigs and cage from elsewhere and bring home once dc were in bed. It’s going to be a looong night!

I’m sitting here watching Polar Express with dd and quietly enquiring just how tired they are
I’m knackered and want to get to be done but it’ll be after 11 before she’s asleep to do the stockings but at least can get the presents out downstairs once the movie is done and they are in bed.
As I’ve just said to my teen, I can’t go to bed as I’ve yet to make Christmas happen

DH is getting the youngest to sleep while I moved the presents. All set up now but can't relax til I know he's asleep.

Our three in bed and yet but I will probably give it an hour yet!

My 3 have just went up , DH getting the littlest asleep the older two will probs mess around for an hour yet 🤣 iv spent the last half hour looking out the window with them looking for the big man don't think he will be visiting my house for a few hours yet tho! Xx

Mine are 21, 29 and 15. It'll be hours before they go to bed.

I suggested not doing sacks this year.... it did not go down well. 😂

7yr old ds has been down twice asking if it’s time to get up, he’s awake now in his bedroom he’s been to sleep once and woke.

He keeps shouting where abouts in the world is he? And I’m waiting up until he’s here I want to go on his sleigh.

Dd(6) has just asked where a specific present is for dd(1) that she saw me buy in the summer. Ivve for a horrible feeling that ivve wrapped it in younger dd's stocking, so need to go through, unwrapping any suspect parcels and rewrappjng. Shit

DC choose the 7 biggest carrots for the blooming reindeer. 5 are now in the boot of my car, one half eaten dropped in the garden and a nibbled one still on the plate. I had less trouble eating the cookies :-)

Just snuck presents into 4 y/o room. He woke up looked around... I froze in panic... luckily his head hit the pillow and he went straight back to sleep. Thank god!! Can’t wait to see his face in the morning

I have been buying bits and pieces and squirrelling them away for months. It is only today when everything is in the same place that I realise quite how much I have overdone it. Again. Really must scale back next year. All set out now and hopefully DS won’t wake up at the crack of dawn.

Currently contemplating what time to put DD8’s stocking by her door...

She’s been in bed since 8 asleep so done the presents under the tree, but she sometimes gets up for the toilet so I’m worried about the stocking!

Oh gosh I remember being young and wanting so much to fall asleep quickly so I could wake up and it would be Christmas Day but was waaayyy too excited to sleep.
I have so many memories of lying in bed desperately trying to sleep on Christmas Eve. My parents must have been dying to go to bed!

All done accept stockings to be put in rooms. Ds was asleep, dd not. Neither believe so its not as difficult as other years but would still prefer them to be asleep before the stockings are delivered

I’ve still got 1dc worth of wrapping to go, and ds7 is only pretending to sleep at last check...

Just found the socks and pants under our duvet where I shoved them earlier as a DC came in.

Here's mine. Actually managed to get all stockings on beds this year, normally there is at least a couple that get left outside the door with a note saying they should have been asleep

Just done the sack for DD and discovered I've overdone it again. Was determined not to over-shop this year as we have some big expenses coming up, but she kept changing her mind about what was the thing she wanted most. And I found 3 presents that I bought in March and forgot about. So the sack is overflowing again. At least I had help from DH this year though. He's usually asleep before DD and I end up doing it all by myself, but this year he's a bit more lively. He even quite enjoyed it and said it gave him a little Childhood-Christmassy buzz. Great! He's welcome to it every year.

She's asleep now so I should go up and fill her stocking, but I'm making the most of a quiet sit down and drinking Santa's glass of sherry...

I can't find half of the stuff for the stocking, worse I've found the receipt so know I've bought it. Currently creeping round the house looking for the bloody things. Jeep disturbing the dogs, at this rate the whole house will be up.

I'm going to need this thread tonight as I've not even started wrapping yet! Teen DC X2 only just gone up after watching Gremlins. 13 year old moaning that it's still early and he's not at all tired yet

All wrapped. Way more than I realised though, so I’m contemplating leaving some downstairs rather than 7 trips up and down hoping no one wakes... may just leave stockings by beds... am drinking Santa’s Bailey’s while I decide!
Dh is asleep on the sofa having criticised my organisational skills (rightly so!)

@Ducksurprise have you found them yet? Wardrobes? Car boot? Cardboard boxes? Laundry basket?
