it's been like this for a couple of years. The dreaded (and wrongly named......) easy peelers are everywhere and the poor old satsumas are only given shelf space for a week or so!

Satsumas are much nicer than sweetclems, clementines, difficult peelers, tangerines etc. I've found them in Sainsbury's a couple of times this year but they're out of stock now.

We have a similar thread on here most years at Christmas. The gradual decline in availability of 'baggy skinned satsumas' ( love the description!l) in favour of other similar but inferior citrus fruits is something that predates Covid or Brexit in my opinion

. I don't like Clementines and easy peelers either ( if ever there was a misnomer!) . We did get 6 satsumas in our delivery yesterday from Tesco so I am saving them for Christmas day . Maybe we can go back to putting them in stockings as a rare treat Grin

My Sainsbury’s have had some for a few months, but the shelf space has been given back to apples now, sadly!

Spanish citrus fruit have had an incredible poor harvest this year.

I am more perplexed by the lack of gingerbread. I've been dieting for a year and really wanted to treat myself to some crunchy gingerbread. Nope. Not this year evidently.

Satsumas are really hard to find this year. Boxes of clementines are nice but i want a variety!
