My plan was to clean and de-clutter the house and wrap the last couple of presents. Currently still sat in my pjs with a cuppa while dd5 is playing. Need to get some motivation, need to do the dreaded food shop too.
What are you doing today? Having a chilled one or rushing around?

What were your symptoms lemoncurd?

Ponies done, eldest DD has gone into town so have convinced her to nip into M&S and pick up all the really useful food items we needed that were substituted!!

Middle DD has a party so youngest DD and I are going to do some Christmas baking, watch a movie and potter.

Have also shampooed the downstairs carpet and will continue chipping away at the house so very little to do to tomorrow!!

Pretending to work from home. To be fair I'm turning around anything that comes in quickly but everyone else has finished for Christmas so no much is coming in!

Trying to ignore the Quality Street

I’ve walked the dog for four miles through the muddy woods and also been to Birmingham Dogs Home with a shoebox of treats, a toy and a blanket for their appeal for their dogs.

Now I’m waiting for my Tesco order. It looks like there could be a fair bit missing judging by the difference in the cost when I ordered it and the amount that’s gone out of my account.

Once that’s come I need to drop off the food ordered for my parents and do a drive by present drop at a friend’s house. Delending on what’s missing on the Tesco order I may need to shop before going with my parents’ shopping if some of what they ordered is missing.

I’ve got another bag of presents to drop at another friend’s house but it’s quite a drive away. I’ve done it the last two years and I was kind of hoping that her husband would do the swap this year as he drives through this area (he’s an electrician so drives around to jobs) but time’s running out.

And I want to be sitting in front of the TV for an 8pm kick off.

And I have zero motivation to do any of this.

Big house clean, make cranberry sauce, 2 loads of washing, ironing, clean out fridge ready for click&collect later this afternoon, find a box to put all the veg and drinks in to store outside.

While supervising DD doing the jobs she's been given (make table centrepiece, water plants, make card for Grandma, tidy her room etc.). She's doing her jobs very well, but making a bloody mess while she's at it.

I'm determined to look busy while DH is wfh, I hate the thought that he is thinking I'm a slacker pt worker.

Have been working all week and tomorrow, today is my only day to get organised.

Baking and out for dinner, in tier 2

CarolEffingBaskin · 23/12/2020 13:14

I’m writing an essay for uni Xmas Sad But DH has picked up our Christmas dinner food order, and he’s taking the children for a walk through the woods shortly so I can get this done! This evening we’ll watch films, eat alllll the food and play some board games. I’d like to open my new puzzle I got for my birthday too!

Working at home but quiet as most people off.
Then going to log off early and clean bathrooms before settling on sofa for some tv etc.

Angbunnyboo · 23/12/2020 18:40

Had my nails and brows done earlier, and tidied and cleaned bedrooms.
Made all the sausage rolls and helped DSD wrap her presents.

Need to pick up order from M&S at 8pm and have Sainsburys coming 9-10pm. Most of it looks like its what I ordered so I don't think I will need to go out and do a food shop.
Trying to convince myself to clean bathroom tonight but CBA so will do it tomorrow while OH takes DSD home.

Putting off cleaning the bathroom, tidying the laundry and flattening all the cardboard boxes that all my Christmas presents came in.
