A turkey for 3? or something else, what are you having

been tempted with chicken
dont want pork or beef since i doubt they go with pigs in blankets

or stick with tradition?

Erm I've bought a large turkey for three of us Blush but with plans for curries and pies etc to go in the freezer!

We are having a turkey drumstick between the 3 of us (2 adults and a 7 yo). I'm planning to put it in the slow cooker in the morning, 5 hours on high and it will be perfect for lunch. I've also got a small ham, which was bought mainly with boxing day leftovers in mind!

Pigs in blankets are a given as well!

Definitely do chicken. Chicken goes really well with pigs in blankets on the side.

Unfortunately I ordered and paid for a turkey to serve 8 before we went into tier 4 - so the three of us (2 adults and a 6 year old) will be having that! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes.... I always make 3-4 times the amount I think I need. A whole meal in itself.

A fairly small chicken and some gammon. We'll eat the gammon and freeze some of the cooked chicken with gravy.

We’re having a very small turkey just for 2 - we like it, and none of it will be wasted - I always make stock from the carcass too.
Naturally there will be stuffing and pigs in blankets - I shall be making those today. 🎅🏻🎄

No turkeys to be found in lidl Shock
only large ones in Sainsbury's.

panic bought a small turkey crown from Waitrose,
i really wanted to aim for a reduced one on christmas eve... one day

I bought a Turkey breast joint (just a massive breast) I’m going to attempt to cut it down the middle roll it with stuffing and wrap in bacon. There’s only 3 of us and one won’t be eating it but I wanted it for sandwiches as well as Xmas day.

We have a m&s turkey crown to feed 6-8, a garnish pack to feed 8, and 3 desserts, all ordered early before circumstances changed, for just the 3 of us.

Looks like we'll be having 2 days of Christmas dinners! Or does turkey, stuffing and pigs in blankets taste nice in a curry sauce?
