I made a big cake and cut it into 4. I iced 3 and kept one plain I got fed up. I've given 2 iced ones out as gifts and kept the others. We've already eaten the plain one 🐷 and I'm eyeing up the other one.

As much as I love marzipan and icing my Christmas cake isn’t cut until Christmas Day, I’ve a tin so it will keep.

We normally do it on boxing day. But the only people who eat it are me and dps, and they can't come because Tier 4. So I decided not to ice it (don't need the additional cals) and I'm eating a chunk after tea everyday. I wonder how much weight this will put on me by January?

Eat it! I got a present of a beautiful one last week and cracked into it straight away. It was DIVINE. I even ate the marzipan layer (not a marzipan fan) because it all just looked too damn good to go peeling off the icing.

If it helps, we’re on our second homemade and home iced Christmas cake. In the second one we added pecans and cherries and OMG it’s the best.

I made a big fruit cake on Friday. I had to make another one tonight. There's 2 of us here.

Anytime after 21 December is a safe time to eat the cake. We cut into ours yesterday afternoon.
