Just decorated mine today! I wish I had more skills, it always looks slightly scruffy, but I do enjoy doing it (and eating it!)

This is ours.

I helped 11yo dd2 ice it this afternoon, then left her to her own devices with my box of cake decoration bits and pieces.

She says the Santa is running away from the giant snowman in the background & the reindeer is helping Santa

(I was looking forward to trying something grown up this year...there's always next year!)

My children do not subscribe to the ‘less is more’ approach.

I've gone for the 'grab a decoration from the tree' aesthetic this year, paired with a shaky sprinkling of glitter icing and a few edible silver balls . The red icing was an experiment I might not repeat though.

I gave my cake to the old couple next door who were saying they didn't have one

popped to the shop Christmas Eve for a quick instant replacement and no cake to be had.
