A 16 kilo kettlebell, without it being SCREAMINGLY obvious what it is?!

Considered putting it in a box and wrapping that, but can't stand the thought of it being picked up and falling through the cardboard onto someone's foot Xmas Shock

Any genius ideas?

Wrap it with a bear sitting on the top, like it's on a space hopper?
Tie helium balloons to it as if it's just a big balloon weight?

WisestIsShe · 19/12/2020 21:16

More sensibly, large gift bag?

Bargebill19 · 19/12/2020 21:21

Lots of bubble wrap to make it a more uniform shape, then wrap?

GlowingOrb · 19/12/2020 21:23

Or just wrap a message that the gift is in the closet.

Bargebill19 · 19/12/2020 21:40

Oooo you could do a treasure hunt for the person to find the bell!

I love it when gifts are obvious. Last year I got my DB a wok. Wrapped it so it looked like a wok. It got a laugh on christmas day

That really did make me chuckle! Maybe the simplest answer is the best!

Cut the top flaps off a box that will fit over it, wrap the box upside down. Place over kettlebell. Surround with other presents so it is well camouflaged. When unwrapping frenzy begins tell recipient they'll need to go and grab it.

I'm in a similar situation, trying to work out how to wrap a cymbal!

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 20/12/2020 14:05

Plastic storage box instead of a cardboard one?

rollinggreenhills · 20/12/2020 14:08

I know that one of mine will be a watering can. Grin

This thread reminds me of a great book the dc had when small called "Postman Pat and the Puzzle Parcels" - thoroughly recommended for a good chuckle.

Ball on the top, bubble wrap round

I love your thinking WisestIsShe!

Just read this dilemma to DS and he suggested much bubble wrap...

Many years ago dsis bought me a table lamp and there was also a griddle pan for exh, both blindingly obvious. She'd added a tag saying 'No, it's a CD!' and we still refer to awkward shaped presents in that way Grin
