Family games to play on Zoom?

As our extended family can't all be together on Xmas day I wondered if anyone has any good ideas of a Zoom game we can play together during the day.

We will range in age from 11 to 85, and will be in two separate households of 6 people each.

Please share your top tips, what's worked well so far?

I was wondering too, but as DMum is rather deaf I don't think we'll be able to do this.

Our family favourite Christmas game is Articulate and I think that would work over a video call

one thing that worked well for us during the initial lockdown was a quiz. Each household had to prepare a round on a specific theme so that there wasn't too much overlap of questions. You had a choice of doing 5 questions each worth 1 point, or 10 questions worth half a point each.

We stuck mostly to trivia questions, but 'spot the intro' also worked well, as did picture rounds (we managed this in a few different ways. Screen sharing or posting to our whatsapp group worked best).

We are going to do bingo. I’ve given my parents a book of tickets and some dabbers. We have some tickets and dabbers as well and we have a bingo thing (not sure what it’s called Grin).

I got sent this link in an email from brownies about a free version of articulate to be played remotely. Not used it myself so fingers crossed that it works www.drumondpark.com/articulate_cards

Scattergories can also be played well over zoom - google it and there's a website that generates the letter and categories for you - one person shares their screen so everyone can see it on their individual devices.
