No presents

I ordered all my gifts online 3 weeks ago and none of them have turned up. I can't go Christmas shopping in the nearest town because I look after extremely vulnerable people so do the responsible thing and order online.
So I have no gifts for my family.
I rang the post office and they say they have a massive backlog and I won't get them before Christmas.
I have no idea what to do now, all my family are 300 miles away so I can't drive down there and leave them on the doorstep.
So pissed off.

If they're late being delivered they will be late being given, shit happens.

It would be ridiculous to buy more gifts unless they're for a small child and yours are their only presents.

Took over 3 weeks for my parcel to come which was sent on a 48 HR tracked delivery.

@PoulePouletteEternellement Yes I'm aware of the size of the country thanks I used to live there. I wasn't more specific because I didn't want to be, it wasn't intended to be an all encompassing statement about the North of the country, just an example mirroring the OP's experience

Our post we havnt had any for nearly two weeks then 7 letters at once.
DS school report posted first class over a week ago still has not arrived.

OP you are allowed to go shopping even if you look after vulnerable people. Thousands of carers and NHS workers do so.

Failing that, people will just have to wait. There's not a lot else you can do really.

did you order everything in one bulk order from 1 place?

I just dont understand how NOTHING has showed up... Im having issue that most stuff is coming through couriers like Hermes at the moment and honestly they couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery (keep taking stuff to another street with the same name in a different town etc...) but royal mail has seemed standard like always.
