We've done lost button, reindeer shoe, lost bell. What else can I do this year to make for a magical Christmas morning?

Shoe prints?

Stompythedinosaur · 17/12/2020 22:57

We did reindeer prints and a small pile of reindeer poo one year (was obviously choc covered raisins). The dc were delighted.

We have just ordered the polar express tickets from eBay, hoping to convince them they were on it 😂

Ohdoleavemealone · 18/12/2020 09:49

We have done chocolate coin trail leading to the presents and wrapping the doorway so they have to break through it to get to the presents.

Looking for something new this year, thinking of a ribbon trail or little notes.

Driving licence you can get on etsy or ebay

A bit of beard on the tree.

Santa's hat in the garden.

Broken bowl that you put down for Rudolph (he chipped one of ours with his hoof when I was 7 mum dropped it while washing up ). Dsis and I used to fight the rest of the year over who'd eat their porridge out of it! That was some STRONG magic Xmas Grin

Last year FC wrote a letter to DS in his best writing my left hand, I'm a righty saying what a good boy ds had been, how Rudolph and the dog had snuck down to the beach to run around while FC was setting out the gifts. That went down a storm.

You could leave a pool of apple juice on the floor somewhere, fake reindeer pee. (Outside/kitchen/downstairs loo/front step. Just don't forget it's there!

A letter?

Needhelpwithaquestion · 18/12/2020 22:52

We're putting a wrapped present on our porch roof and telling our 3 year old DGD that it must have fallen off Father Christmas's sleigh. When we retrieve it there will be a big label with her name on it. [Hoping it's not raining!]

MaverickDanger · 19/12/2020 00:10

Definitely reindeer poo - we have deer who roam on the grass next to us, so our neighbours are planning to collect some (Xmas Envy) and put it in their back garden!

PapercraftNinja · 19/12/2020 00:13

Love these!

Stolen from elf on the shelf really but...
We are doing a “Santa raided the kitchen” thing leave a few biscuits and half cup of tea etc with some glitter about the place. I’m pretty dramatic with the whole “oh no!! He’s been at the beer!!!?!”

thelegohooverer · 19/12/2020 06:26

Red thread caught on rough spot in fireplace
Santa’s spectacles
Scattered coals from a rough landing
Sleigh marks gouged in the lawn
Sooty thumb prints on presents

When I was young, Santa always eschewed the milk and cookies we left out (American TV influences) and helped himself to dad’s whiskey and the box of quality street.

Oooo following for ideas
