Possibly slightly controversial but I really fancy cauliflower cheese with Christmas dinner, I'm also a bit lazy, any recommendations of a really nice stick in the oven one? Xmas Smile

I like the M and S and Tesco versions. We’re having it with Christmas dinner too!

I'm getting ours from Booths.

Easiest cauli cheese ever and the tastiest
Chop cauli into florets and put in oven proof dish
In a pan fry two cloves of garlic with a spot of butter. Chuck in a half glass of white wine and bubble with about a third of block of Philadelphia until melted
Throw in a glug of single cream and a big handful of whatever cheese you have; crated cheddar, Parmesan, blue cheese, feta..anything will do.
Melt it altogether into a thickish sauce and pour over top of florets. Add more wine or cream to make it go a bit further if necessary
Sprinkle more cheddar or Parmesan over the top
Cook at 200 for 30 mins to 40 mins.
One whole cauli will serve about 6.

Nooooiiiice

Wherever you shop get one from their finest range. Asda's finest is particularly nice and comes in a variety of pack sizes. I don't actually rate m&s it's a bit over salty.

Really easy recipe for when I’m feeling lazy:
Cut a cauliflower into florets- steam until slightly tender (I think I’ve even cut this stage out)
Pour over a large dolmio white sauce for lasagne - it’s gluten free
You can top with whizzed up breadcrumbs (use gf bread or crackers) mixed with some garlic paste (optional)
Bake

I can make a white sauce but work ft and have too many kids

We always have Cali cheese it's the best part! I tried a bbc recipe the other day and it was super easy and delicious!

Sorry sorry just seen you don't want to make it. I didn't want to make it but got bullied into it. wish I known about all these ready made lush ones!

I find the Tesco one often turns pinkish, makes the fridge smell funny, and tastes weird despite being well in date. Avoid.

I never par-boil the cauliflower when I make it. It roasts/poaches perfectly fine in the cheese sauce and doesn't turn to mush.

I like the M&S one, however nearly always make my own using the Mumsnet microwave cheese sauce method (hate making white sauce in a pan - this is so much easier) and a ton of grated cheese over the top.

@Polkagirls
Your cauliflower cheese recipe doesn't have any cheese in it

Morrisons with Davidstow is delicious. It’s in their ‘the best’ range.
