Build a bear/Royal Mail

Has anyone ordered anything from build a bear recently and had any problems with delivery? I ordered a few small bits, stocking fillers, over Black Friday weekend and I’m still waiting on them, despite getting a shipping email on the 1st December. Not sure if it’s backlogs with Royal Mail or if it wasn’t actually sent when they say it was, either way, I’m assuming they won’t be here for Christmas but wondered if anyone else was having any delays? I ordered from them once a few years ago and vaguely remember it being quite slow to arrive but not this long.

I ordered a teddy last week and it arrived a couple of days later. However that was via DPD. But Royal Mail must be really busy at the moment, had a Royal Mail delivery due last week which was sent on the 24hr service but the tracking stopped on Friday and didn’t change again until today. A couple of other Royal Mail deliveries took much longer than normal too.

I’ve got no experience with build a bear but having terrible trouble with Royal Mail. Still waiting on things posted mid November and early December. Even something posted early November took over three weeks to arrive. I have found them to be much quicker delivering from businesses though and it seems to be personal parcels that are the issue here. Hope you get it soon!

Royal mail are having massive issues, i ordered something on 2nd December that was eventually delivered today - its was sent via 48hr track n trace (or whatever they call it!)

Oh well, I’ll keep my fingers crossed then. It’s not important stuff, a couple of accessories for dd and ds had added on the end of his Santa letter could his bear have some shoes and it was just a nice little extra as he wasn’t asking for himself. I did send a parcel to my mum on Monday through Royal Mail and it arrived yesterday, it all seems a bit hit or miss. I do realise they’re having a really tough time of it this year.

Masses of people having problems with Royal Mail, apparently they are deluged. Chap in the post office yesterday warning everyone that anything they were sending second class was not guaranteed to arrive before Christmas - that's more than a week away! Last Saturday I ended up doing a 6-hour round trip with a time-critical contract because they told me that they didn't think it would get there via next day deliver on Monday! Apparently retailers who use them are having terrible difficulties because once an item leaves them it shows as dispatched on their system but in many cases has then been sitting in RM for days (or longer) before they actually get it into their system and then it seems to take its own sweet time in being delivered. A calendar which I ordered end of November showed as being sent about 5 days later, then I heard nothing until about a week after that when I got a notification from RM on a Saturday that it was coming via 48 hour delivery and would be with me on Tuesday - it turned up the following Friday. So thankfully your parcel is not critical because it may or may not arrive in time.
