I just want one measly sugar mouse for my niece's stocking, but I can't seem to find them. I thought Fortnum and Mason usually had them but no dice. Has anyone seen them anywhere?

A quarter of, have them.

Of you have any old style sweet shops near you they’ll have them. I bought a tube of three from lakeside, for MIL’s stocking.

Is this a common thing? To put a sugar mouse in a stocking? I've never heard that before but then we didn't do stockings as children

Mum varnished it and kept it for ages

That's very sweet but a little barmy Grin

I'm imagining Willow Tree style figurines that wouldn't fare very well on the mantelpiece!

@paintedpanda
Yes a little mouse in the very bottom of ur stocking is traditional
( my sis in law never had one as a child and was delighted she got one last year , albeit in her gift bag with her main gift , it’s always the little things isn’t it , that people remember )

It was so cute though! Dad in the armchair, me lazing on the floor reading the newspaper... even had the dog!
