Household mixing - How many?

I’m probably being a bit thick here, but can someone please tell me in plain English how many people can we have in our home on Xmas day?

We are a family of four, then SIL is a family of four, then there is BIL also a family of four. Altogether, there are 12 of us. Can they (8 of them join us) all come to our house?

Yes, but no one can see anyone else for the 5 days. Though it might all chance soon.

Yes, so long as they are not seeing any other households over Christmas.

Thank you soooo much. I was secretly hoping we won’t be able to all of them Grin but they’re not a bad bunch.

Are your SIL and BIL seeing the other parts of their family over the 5 days (ie SIL seeing her parents at some stage?)

Depends if you're in Scotland or England. Scotland has a maximum of 8 but doesn't include children under 12

If you're in Wales it wouldn't be ok
