Over Christmas, we'd normally get together with extended family and have a games night. In the past, we've done the charades, sing star, monopoly, cluedo, tension, quizzes.

This year, we aren't getting together due to covid but I wanted to get a game as part of their Xmas present that can be played in smaller groups.

Can anybody recommend games for:
• couple in mid 30s with toddler/preschooler
• couple mid 20s
• family of 2x 50s and older teenager

All the games I've looked at seem to work better for bigger groups.

Forgot to add, can be a board game or PS game (or switch for the family with young children)

Mario Party or Mario Kart would be a nice one for the family with the switch :)

We have twelve for Christmas aged from eleven to eighty eight.

It's not really a game but a firm favorite in our house is DHs bag game.
Over the year he collects all sorts of small inexpensive gifts. Things like socks, key rings, small puzzles, make up and chocolate.
He then puts a selection into about twenty paper bags and seals them.
Then the bags are put in a pile and everyone chooses one bag, all the other bags are left in the middle of the table.
Then the game is played. Dh will say things like
Jjacobb must give her bag to the player on her right.
Jjaccob must take a bag from any another player.
If you're a girl pick a bag from the middle
If your name has more that two syllables give your bag to the person on your left
If you like sprouts take a bag from the middle
The rules can be anything. Eventually everyone ends up feeling and squishing bags and getting desperate to keep certain bags because they think they know what's in it.
The game can go on for ages and in our house people get very territorial about "their bags" 😀
The game is over whenever dh says it is. Then everyone opens their bags and there's a mad swop shop of all the gifts.

I’ve recently brought a great downloadable Christmas Games Bundle from this shop: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/905647932/christmas-games-bundle-christmas-party?ref=shop_home_feat_1&bes=1

Highly recommend
Have played them on tv with my kids and last night played on Zoom with friends. Great fun & loads of laughs.
