I know I'm not the only person who does this?

So what have people lost so far?

I've lost a Suduko book for DD1s stocking.

Annoyingly I cannot find an Animal Crossing game I bought months ago 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

junglepie · 09/12/2020 17:04

a makeup pallette for dd2. Hoping it turns up! However I did discover a present I had forgotten I had bought for dd2 in the bottom of my wardrobe today which is great cause it means I can stop stressing she hasn't got as much as dd1 LOL Grin

Lost 2 presents but eventually found them under the bed, still missing 3 bags of chocolates for the advent calendar, am hoping I find them in January just when I need a chocolate fix!!

Coolerthanapolarbearstoenails · 09/12/2020 17:47

A (stupidly expensive for what it is) pin badge for my sister in the USA. I need to find it pronto to get it in the post.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 09/12/2020 18:02

A massive bag of nuts (£10) which I got for Dh’s stocking. I dare say they’ll turn up in May 2022, by which time they’ll have gone rancid.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 09/12/2020 18:08

Back in early January I found in the sideboard 2 forgotten small boxes of emergency-present chocolates - just as all the Christmas goodies were finished. Two 🐷🐷 in this house were very happy, oink oink.

maxineputyourredshoeson · 09/12/2020 19:33

A pair of earrings for DD1’s birthday (28/12) and a glittery Llama for DD2.... that’s all so far....

Chocolatechocolatechocolate · 09/12/2020 21:18

Every year I find presents that I have “hidden” and then forgotten about. It’s most annoying when the present is no longer relevant to the person so can’t even give it to them for their birthday instead

livingthegoodlife · 09/12/2020 21:20

I lost an advent calendar - still not found.

A few weeks ago I found a stash of really nice Joules Christmas themed clothes that I bought last year for last Christmas. A bit small now but I'm making the kids wear them anyway!!

chilledteacher · 09/12/2020 21:23

I lost physical tickets to watch Robbie Williams once. Tore the house apart trying to find them. Never did. Soul destroying :(

Beach11 · 09/12/2020 21:28

Set of 15 books and a osmo with add ons 😢

Most most the day looking for them & haven’t found them

princessbear80 · 09/12/2020 21:30

Super Mario boxers for DS stocking Xmas Confused

deste · 09/12/2020 21:53

Still not found electric toothbrush from last year.

AliceMck · 09/12/2020 21:56

I’m on the hunt for a dancing reindeer, it’s the last thing I need to find. No bloody idea where I’ve hidden it.

I say last thing I need to find, there is a good chance I’ve hidden other stuff I can’t remember, I usually find something after Xmas day.

TheLastStarfighter · 10/12/2020 00:17

This year I wrote everything down when I ordered it, and marked it off when it arrived, so at least I will know when I have lost it rather than second guessing whether I even ordered it.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 10/12/2020 10:56

Ive bought a replacement suduko book in case. It won't be wasted if I do find the other
(Probably when we move house in a few months!)

Glad to know I'm not the only one.

Found Just Dance on top of the wardrobe in June a few years ago.

princessbear80 · 10/12/2020 13:22

I’ve just found where I’d hidden the Mario boxer shorts: at the back of my underwear drawer. Some logic there I suppose! Also found a toy in my wardrobe that I’d forgotten about. Sending good luck vibes to you all, I hope your presents turn up! Xmas Smile

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 12/12/2020 04:33

I've found the misplaced book! Knew it would happen once I bought a new one
In the guest room. No idea what it was doing there.

ive not lost anything......YET. which makes a change as theres normally something i have to give an IOU for and then find soemtime between jan and march!!

Sunfl0wer20 · 12/12/2020 05:52

A Man United kit for my 4 year old.
Luckily it was from China and only £10, I would be heartbroken if I had paid the full price for it. God knows where it has gone. The mind boggles.

SandysMam · 12/12/2020 05:54

This is so funny! I literally just woke up and thought I need to turn the entire contents of the wardrobe out to try to find a Lego car!! I thought I was so organised this year but not I have lost half the gifts Blush

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 12/12/2020 06:23

I I know where all the presents are. I'm not convinced I'll find all of the chocolate coins etc though!

Presents get put either in my wardrobe or on top of it (in boxes, covered by a GroAnywhere blind!). Hopefully I've not bucked the system this year! Xmas Grin

PearlescentIridescent · 12/12/2020 06:25

I have gotten around this by buying one of those enormous IKEA plastic boxes, the biggest one they sell. It's in our bedroom well hidden and disguised if anyone did come across it :) As soon as any present for the DC is delivered or brought home it goes straight in the box!
I did by my DP something small from Boots and have to keep remembering it is stashed under the sofa 😅

PearlescentIridescent · 12/12/2020 06:31

@TheLastStarfighter same, I have a meticulous spreadsheet with conditional formatting let me know what presents have or have not been ordered, delivered or wrapped Grin

If I hadn't done it I wouldn't remember half the stuff if it didn't turn up. And I did almost lose a gruffalo teddy before it made it to the box, so that was a close call
