Nintendo Switch question

I am driving myself mad with this question. I have two children age 8 and 10. I have one nintendo switch for Christmas. This was meant to be for the 10 year old. HOWEVER, I'm now wondering if I should get one for the 8 year old too? I know they will play together a lot, but when we are travelling (family in Australia so in normal times we fly a lot) etc they might really like one each. OR do I stick with one normal switch and get a switch lite for the other child? Tell me what to do, please!
Oh, and practical issue - I have one switch in my house, hidden away. It might be a nightmare to get a second one as all sold out, but Switch lite are in stock... PLEASE BOSS ME ABOUT AND TELL ME WHAT TO DO. Thank you!

I'd say get 2 of the regular switches if you can afford it and two copies of games like Animal Crossing. I wouldn't reccomend the switch lite even if you're not going to connect the switch to the TV. Lots of people have had issues with the joycons after having the switch for a while and whilst they're costly to replace, getting a new pair just isn't an option if you go for the lite.

Nintendo UK store definitely has some of the animal crossing ones in as a bundle with the game cos I ordered yesterday and it's arriving today.

Considering that the DS came out in 2004 I'd be bloody glad to get one to share in 1999! A Switch to share is not that bad imo. If you can afford it I'd get two (the regular one, not the Lite) but it will be ok if it's a joint present. If they really like it perhaps you could see about getting a second - I'd think about a Lite then as the regular Switch can be heavy, as long as the understanding was there that the regular Switch is available for TV play.

Readers, I got two. Thank you for the wise words.
