Golf gift question

Looking for a gift for a newish golf player. He has been playing for about a year or so, so not a beginner but also unlikely to have all the kit.

Would a rangefinder be useful!?

My dad's been playing golf for years. He always needs balls, and loves a private lesson from the club's pro. He also has a selection of golf trollies 😂

@EmmaStone thank you! Will have a look at trolleys too.

DH is a keen golfer - clothes always go down well (golf shirt, shorts etc) Balls also always well received!

Thank you! I will definitely get some golf balls to add in.

My sons are golfers , I have bought caps , trousers , tops and golf shoes before. I would steer clear of buying actual clubs so many to choose from you could get some that just aren't right for them .

Thanks @pumpkinpie01 I know he bought a set of clubs quite recently and I wouldn’t have a clue on what to get !

Lessons from the pro shop?
A cap, tees and golf balls are always needed.
