We’re tier 2, but no nativity/ concert/ party in school this year. No Santa visits or Christmas fayres. They’re doing Christmas jumper day and a Christmas dinner next week in school but DS’s class are isolating so he won’t even get that. Can anyone suggest any events/ occasions over the next couple of weeks to mark the run up to Christmas?

Apparently my local cinema opens on Friday so hopefully they’ll livestream Nutcracker?

And there’s bound to be kids films surely.

We're going to a light trail.

We had santa call us over zoom the other day which was pretty cool. We also like driving around where we live with hot Chocolte in flasks looking at the all lights.

I have bought disco bulbs and am going to give some of our friends a 'disco kit' as a family present, including arranging a date with the parents to have a zoom disco party for all the kids. We are also going carol singing - DS and me, plus 3 other adult friends, and we will do a short loop around our estate stopping at 3 different friends houses to sing a couple of songs (they have been prepped to expect us). I'm going to provide mince pies for at one stop, and a thermos of hot choc for another. We'll probably do a post dinner walk into our town one evening too so DS can see the lights all on - again making it into an 'event' by planning some festive treats to take with us.

A lot of national trust places are going light trails and we’re seeing Father Christmas at a farm in a socially distanced way

There's nothing on here. Tier 3 and I don't drive so I'm not sure about getting on buses and trains at the minute

We've started a 25 days of Christmas game. Some of the days can be changed if something goes wrong, but in general we stick to this plan. Also we usually have a themed winter photo shoot and then make Christmas slideshows with music and our pics at the end of December. And also we have a list of movies to watch every week so that we would have more of a holiday mood- www.goodhousekeeping.com/holidays/christmas-ideas/g1315/best-christmas-movies/

What area are you in OP? We are in tier 2 and there’s quite a few outdoor events going in, mainly lights, national trust and garden type places.
