We bought a Switch from Very using their £50 credit for first purchase offer. It was dispatched a week ago, due to arrive by today yet the tracking hasn’t moved forward. Royal Mail still haven’t received it and Very saying it is dispatched from their supplier, we just have to wait. Has anyone received theirs from Very? We also ordered a game for it which arrived within a couple of days! Worried as this is a lot of money for us to have spent even with it being £50 less and now no idea when or if we are getting it.

Hi,

I ordered a Switch from Very on Black Friday, it arrived today.

Winterfairy23 · 06/12/2020 07:28

I work for a large retailer and the current royal mail and Hermes delivery timescale is 10 working days (at least!). Your tracking might also be silent for 7 days at a time, but it'll likely turn up! 🙂

Thank you both! I’ll dial down the stress on this then.

Hi, not Very but we are in the same situation with Game!

I think PO is just slammed but the wait is stressful.

TheChosenTwo · 06/12/2020 10:21

I ordered a load of stuff over a week ago (not a Switch, not from Very so perhaps my post is totally irrelevant!) which I’m still waiting for. I just presume they are totally swamped and everything will come, but later than normal.
Waiting for Gap, JD Sports, Jo Malone and Rituals. No tracking available for anything yet although JD did send me a text apologising for the delay. Still just under 3 weeks to go so I’m not panicking. This is the earliest i have ever been so prepared to be honest!

Winterfairy23 · 06/12/2020 11:01

@TheChosenTwo Jo Malone are approx 3 weeks from order to delivery at the moment. Not sure about the rest.

If your friends and families still need to order things, please tell them to order in the next day or two as standard delivery today would be 21st December. Or it might be worth paying extra for the next day delivery which, at worst, has been 2 days.

I dread to think how upset people will be when their gifts for others don't arrive on time.

My lovely Hermes lady delivered us some parcels the other day and she said she is totally swamped and had been up from 3am that morning Shock

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 06/12/2020 11:07

Wow £50 credit I thought I did well doing the same with £30 credit 😂 ours arrived on Wednesday

TildaTurnip · 06/12/2020 12:43

Oh my gosh sounds as though I need to be more patient. I sent some parcels this morning and the post office guy said at least a week delay posting!

Ours has now arrived, so about a week instead of 48hrs. Not bad really given some of the delays!

Fingers crossed yours arrives soon!

TildaTurnip · 07/12/2020 20:13

We called on the 5th (when it was due for delivery) and they said wait for 48 hours as Royal Mail website should have updated by then to say they’ve received it. Called today and still nothing. They’re now saying wait 72 more hours ...

TildaTurnip · 10/12/2020 22:45

In case anyone else was waiting, ours arrived today. The 48 hour advance tracking never updated. It went straight from ‘not received from supplier’ to ‘delivered’.

The system must be overwhelmed. Unsurprisingly.
