Best value lego - just bricks not “sets”

Hi, this may well have been mentioned somewhere else but I can’t find anything ... my 10yo DS wants lego for Xmas but just lots & lots of bricks for him to build his own creations, rather than a set to build specific things. Can anyone recommend the best value box of bricks pls? Thanks

Lego do loads of classic boxes of bricks, depends how much you want to spend, or if near London and it's open take him to the lego store for lego pick n mix.

If you're not bothered about branded Lego b&m have 1000 bricks for £12.99 or 2 for £20. They do it in normal, neon or pastel colours as well.

These boxes are now called "Classic". I don't know any specific discounts right now.
