Where does everyone display their Christmas Sweets & Nuts, and when do you bring them out? All side tables in my lounge already have stuff on them, and I want to keep the coffee table free?

Could you not temporarily remove the things you have on your side tables? We don't often have guests round so most things would stay in the cupboard her until we want them, but if we did have guests they'd just come out and be put on the coffee table, then they removed after the visit.

How long are you going to display them for?

I actively encourage DH not to display His Christmas nuts....

As got sweets, they don’t usually survive long enough to be displayed anywhere

My mum used to display sweets in bowls on her sideboard. I didnt know anyone else that did this, in fact I look back and find it odd. Sweets and treats are just kept in the cupboard and brought out when wanted.

I put a bowl of satsumas on a side table in the sitting room near Christmas (fruit usually lives in the kitchen), and a bowl of nuts with nutcrackers on the sideboard in the dining room. I replenish as needed. We have a toddler now so chocolates come out when he goes to bed and on another side table.
