Small batch / Independent Whisky?

Any recommendations for a good, UK-based small batch whisky? DParents usually go for Glenfiddich, but I'm on a mission to buy all Christmas gifts from small businesses this year.

There's actually quite a few small scale distilleries popping up throughout the UK. I've never had a bad Kilchoman, it's a family run distillery on Islay. Last week I had a great dram from the White Peak distillery from the Peak District. The English Whisky Company do some excellent expressions too.

I can highly recommend a bottle of Chapter 14 from the English whisky company. Also their distillery tours are amazing, although I have no idea if they are running atm.

Edradour - it's a tiny distillery in Perthshire. One of DH's favourites. Or Penderyn Welsh whisky.
