I see a lot of people talking about stocking presents. How big are the stockings to fit all of the stuff in?
In my family the stocking is just sweets and chocolates, maybe some marzipan fruits and a £2 coin.
This is what I do for DD in addition to one gift from Santa and then 4-6 gifts from me (depending on cost).
Are stockings supposed to be filled with actual presents?? Am I doing it wrong??

Dc have stockings outside their doors. A mixture of bits and pieces with the most expensive being about £15. Normally about 15 gifts including chocolate and sweets.
They have a sack downstairs with around 5 main gifts which might just be larger size items rather than expensive.

@Cupcake272 I didn’t say you were lying. I said your budget was excessive and far from average. I am sure you are aware of that already.

Our stockings are quite small, stocking gifts are usually silly little things like lip balm, silly socks, stationary and sweets. All over gifts go under the tree.

Same as most people on here. We were always things like a tube of fruit pastels, lip balm, costume jewellery, Terry's chocolate orange, pack of hair bobbles, essentially a lot of the useful things you would find in the queue at Primark.
