Just curious.

My friend gets their kids absolutely everything they ask for plus extra.
My other friend will use it as inspiration and maybe get 3-4 items.

My kid never did a list 😬

No because some is not age appropriate, some is rubish, some too expensive, some lists are very long. ect ect. Stockings in my house are from santa and are small bits and bobs (and nuts and an orange type thing.) Bigger things under/on tree from family and friends.

Not necessarily. They only tend to ask for perhaps 5-6 things at the most so if we can get it all then we will. But if they've chosen something impossible, far too expensive etc they don't get it. We also get them extra gifts too, and stocking gifts.

No my children don't get everything on their lists, I get them to write to Santa and tell them Santa will pick 3-4 things from their lists and possibly add a couple of surprises I've mostly done this in case things are out of stock or cant be got. They have always been happy on Christmas morning.

Nope, their lists can include higher priced items that we cant afford a lot of the time like laptops and xbox etc they seem happy with what they do get though. Id be broke if I bought everything. plus I think its good for them to save money for things. teaches them the value of money and not to just expect everything handed to them.

DS (8) & DS (3) ask for 1 thing each in their letter to Santa (it can't be anything too expensive).
They don't make a list as such but I have a good idea of things they would like. However, they certainly don't get a ridiculous amount of presents and some will be more practical - DD is getting a dressing gown, both are getting pyjamas, DS is getting a Minecraft duvet cover & watch. There will be plenty of toys, chocolates etc too.
