Hiya!
I’m after recommendations of tabletop steak and raclette grills. Need to buy one as a gift but I have no idea where to start. All the ones on Amazon have terrible reviews :(
Many thanks and merry Christmas:)

There are so many on that link, it is hard to decide. The round one for £39.99, with eight little dishes looks ok, but no reviews. Definitely go for a granite cooking surface rather than metal. Strictly speaking, I think the method of cooking on the stone is actually a Pierrade, while the little grilled shovels are the Raclette part.
Ours is similar to this and came from Lidl, who often sell them, but you can’t rely on their being in stock for when you need it.

I second getting it from Lidl if you can find it - we got ours from there years ago and it's still going strong.

I've been looking at raclette grills on Amazon as mine died after 20 years service. I didn't notice any terrible reviews.

I would probably go for one that is just a pierrade for cooking meat/vegetables and raclette grill underneath for melting the cheese. I suspect the ones that are crepe makers, waffle irons and warming plates as well are more gimmick than good quality.

Got mine from robert dyas a couple of years ago. Does the job well- you’ve reminded me that I have it for these long evenings so thanks!

BestZebbie · 28/11/2020 18:36

There is a good 6 tray/metal one in Robert Dyas atm.

I saw that one online and thought it looked good, but it only had 2 reviews so it’s good to hear another opinion! Thank you Smile definitely a contender! Xx

Has anyone ever tried the Klarstein tenderloin party grill or the Giles and posner grill on Robert Dyas? Many thanks SmileWine

I've had a Tefal one for about 15 years which is still going strong although the model appears to have been updated but it's a round one with hot plate on top similar to this int.ferreteriabras.com/raclette-grill-party-6-people-b3930/?otcountry=GB&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIndDS2oWv7QIVlK3tCh0YwgcmEAQYBCABEgLPU_D_BwE
