Bread sauce

I LOVE bread sauce. I usually make a Delia one, but a few years ago I’m sure I saw (and possibly made) a recipe for a baked bread sauce. I think it was a Jamie recipe, and I think it might have come in a food magazine Christmas supplement but I can’t for the life of me find it referenced anywhere. Is there a fellow bread sauce lover out there who can help me out?

Do you mean this one? From the Jamie Oliver Christmas book

@dinodiva

I've never made it as I'm scared to deviate from my usual bread sauce (a shit bread sauce would ruin my Christmas dinner) so if you do make it report back on what it is like!

@Cluckycluck I think I made it before and really liked it - it was the crunchy top!
Sounds like a good excuse for a dry run though...

Well I'm now very glad I bought a chicken to do a roast tomorrow Grin

Made the Jamie Oliver one yesterday - halved the quantity.

Honestly wasn't keen at all, seemed quite bland to me.

I wonder if you did the infusing a la Delia, and then the rest like the Jamie recipe. Hmm.
