How do you fluff artificial tree?

Had a real tree last few years and haven't used our artificial one. Just had a look in the box and it's looking quite sorry for itself and needs shaping

Is there a specific way to do it? Branches pointing up/down etc?

I used to work in a shop where we had window dressers, they always said to pull out the tips in 3s - 2 out & 1 up or down: starting from closest to the trunk/ inner most tips on a branch 1st 3 at 4/ 8/ 12 (on the clock face) , next 3 at 6/10/2 etc until you reach the end of the branch, then move onto the next branch. Always tried to follow it. I think it's one of those where it looks neat because you end up following a consistent pattern on all branches

Christmas Tree firms such as Christmas Tree World and Balsam Hill have videos and instructions online. Allow plenty of time for fluffing.
