Help! Ideas for my teenage step kids

Please help fellow mumsnetters!

I've got the stockings covered thanks to this forum. They each have a Pringles cracker, American sweets and cereal and some smellies.

I have no idea what main presents to buy and my beloved OH isn't really that organised (or that bothered about Xmas) so he isn't much help!

My DSS is 19 and seems to be into making music on his computer and writing on his blog, I have no clue what to get him at all.

My DSD is just turned 17 and likes make up and her phone and music and TV streaming (all of which they both have already).

I did think about a pretty pendant but we got her one when she got her GCSE results and my OH doesn't think she'd want another one. She's not really got any nice jewellery but we got her a timeless piece that she can wear when she gets a bit older and is in to jewellery.

I have no clue. We'll only get to see them briefly but I want them to have nice pressies. They are just the best kids and will appreciate anything but I'd rather have some ideas please.

TIA x

Driving lessons, if they haven’t started learning already.

For your step daughter:
Personalised make up bag (Not on the High Street is good for those)
GHDs
Rio illuminated make up mirror
Google chromecast
Elle or Cosmopolitan magazine subscription
Popcorn machine or Joe and Seph’s gourmet popcorn gift box
Mocktail Lab gift box

For your step son:
Velvetiser
What Do You Meme? game
Toastie or waffle maker

Oodie type things, bubble tea kits, lava lamp, deliveroo vouchers,

Ochil fudge box
New book each if they are into reading
Costa vouchers
Pajamas
New mug if they drink hot drinks
Earrings (Olivia Burton have some lovely ones or Pandora)
Socks haha

Practically gifts but probably will better received than things that they haven't really asked for as at least they'll get used

Oh my goodness, finally a nice step children thread, there have been terrible threads over the last few days. OP Flowers

At that age I would ask them what wanted or if there is something they would like. I get the element of surprise but as you have got them a stocking each - you have covered that one.

Terrible threads 😂 You mean threads where people are honest about their difficult experiences, and support other people who feel the same? Grow up.

Er, no. Other threads over the last few days that are a little different to that.
