Harry Potter Scrabble

So, I have a nightmare with the present I bought for my SIL.

She's 35. She loves board games. She loves Harry Potter.

Do you think Harry Potter scrabble sounds like a good gift? Or any other ideas (I'm worried she's already got it!).

I was so bloody smug that I found her something and it's all gone to shite.

I don't have HP Scrabble, but we do have some others...
HP Cluedo... Rooms are different HP locations. Can also travel by floo powder, use spells etc. Quite fun

Year at Hogwarts... I find this a bit confusing, but amongst adults who understand the rules it would probably be a lot easier.

We have HP Labyrinth if you want an alternative. We absolutely love it!

I’ve got HP scrabble and love it - but I do already love scrabble.

sapnupuas · 24/11/2020 20:16

Thank you.

Is it a good present for an adult (without kids)?

I'm leaning towards Labyrinth as I'm sure they've already got a form of Cluedo and the Year at Hogwarts is over the limit.

Unless I don't give her the other bits I've already got.

Oh, I don't know!

Honestly we love HP Labyrinth. It's been our lockdown game and it's a different game each time. I'm a bit obsessed actually 😂

I'm a huge Potter fan and I also like board games but I don't really like themed games! I got really cross playing Potter trivia pursuit because an answer was based on the film and not the book Grin
Would she be into Potter lego? I've got several of the sets and the detail is amazing.

Does she play normal Scrabble? If not then I'm unsure she'd play it just because it was Harry Potter themed.

I've just looked through our photos (because I'm sure my brother sent me a photo of their board game stash) and they sent me a photo of them playing Scrabble during lockdown.

As I know they've got scrabble, I'm going with Labyrinth.

Thank you, everyone. I hope she likes it! Even if she doesn't, I won't see her face when she opens it as I won't be seeing her this year for Christmas. Bloody COVID!
