Stocking fillers for my late 50s parents!

Any suggestions for my parents? They’ve done a lot for me the last year and my finances allow me to treat them this year so want to do so.

Its not something I’ve done before, but they do it for us kids and I want to do it for them this year, as Covid permitting, I will be staying with them over the festive period.

I’ll be doing chocolatey bits, shower gels etc, socks as those are traditional for us here, but if you’ve got any ideas for my dad, who is harder to buy for altogether, glad to hear it!

Thanks!

Satsuma and some nuts
Lottery card

Does your dad have any hobbies? If not upgrades of things he usually buys. I got my step dad calvin klein eternity for £16.99 in savers, bargain.

CDs? DH at 58 loves Mumford and Sons, Hamilton, and Bach Cantatas. Also foodie ingredients. I 55, like playing cards, notebooks, teatowels (never enough) arty postcards, Schultz cartoon books, quartz crystals, and seed packets or single bulbs. My kids are too young/fickle to think of organising me a stocking, alas.

I bought this for my dad last year. I think it's a bargain as it includes a taste or three. Can add on an afternoon tea in normal times. Probably something similar or gin based near to your parents?

Am also doing stockings for family. They are getting the usual posh choc, socks and a miniature booze/craft ale and a lottery ticket, mums getting some moisturiser, dads getting a drawing pad and drawing pencils as into art, brother is getting a metal water bottle and sister a brooch and some knickers!

Storyofcats · 22/11/2020 22:29
