Hit me up with your best ever recipe for a kid-friendly chocolatey yule log. No chestnut filling or alcohol.

Also any top tips for where to get hold of suitable decorations (woodland toadstools, edible holly and berries and the like - I'm not a sugarcraft whizz)

My mum used to put coconut mushrooms on our yule log, but the pink foam mushrooms would also look nice, perhaps painted with a bit of red food colouring on top to make them brighter.

I can't really recommend a log recipe, though. The ones I'm used to go hard on the chestnut puree.

I’ve always used Nigella’s recipe, which is great but this year I’m going for the minty filling in the BBC Good Food recipe www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/yummy-chocolate-log
You can get holly and a robin from Cake Craft.

I make the one from 'Nigella's Christmas' The recipe is online. No chestnuts or booze.

I use Mary Berry’s recipe. No alcohol.
