Christmas Tree Candle

Hi

Due to the underfloor hearing frying our real tree last year, this year we have a fake one that is stunning but I really want a Christmas tree scent! Can you recommend a candle that smells like a real tree and not like floor cleaner?

Thank you!

I came on to say please dont put a candle in a tree, but I'm actually interested in the answer. The scent is the only thing stopping me moving to an artificial tree!

RandomMess · 21/11/2020 19:58

No idea what they smell like but Aldi sells tree scent sticks and one was labelled as for tree?

RandomMess · 21/11/2020 19:59

Fir tree even!

SlumMumBum · 21/11/2020 19:59

The White Company do little ornaments that you can put scented oil in and hang on the tree. I've also got their Fir Tree Room Spray that I'm planning on spraying on our fake tree.

I think on amazon they have a product which is a Christmas Tree fragrance air freshener type things you maybe hang in the tree, I haven't seen it in person but on one of my YouTube subscription she uses them every year in her artificial trees. I'll try to find the link....

Woodwick candle, fraiser fir fragrance. I’ve used them for the last 4 years, they smell amazing

Ahhh they hang in trees, like ornaments... Scentsicles White Winter Fir Scent Sticks, Green https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B014J7UQ9E/ref=cmswwrcppapifabt11_DUxUFb8RY688G

I can’t stand scentsicles they smell really fake to me (although I’m in the minority I think). I have a fake garland on my mantle and I add cuttings of fresh pine and fir to it so that I can get the scent of it into the house. I also put a real wreath on the door so that there’s a waft of pine as you come in. It makes up for the fake tree.

Skandinavisk Skog candles and diffusers are great. I used to buy Jo Malone Pine and Eucalyptus but they've gone downhill in recent years. Diptyque are usually lovely and have a fir tree one this year (Sapin de Nuit) but I haven't smelt it yet

gower4 · 21/11/2020 23:31

Jo Loves Christmas trees - but it's expensive

I second this! Smells divine!!!

Milton brown has a scented tree hanger and a spray which is a sort of Christmas tree scent. Or try Yankee candle or similar they have loads of scents that might suit.

IamChipmunk · 22/11/2020 08:05

Another vote for scentsicles here. I get them every year and find them subtle but noticeable. And not synthetic smelling.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/11/2020 08:33

In the past I've had Yankee Candles (and loved them) but then they changed and some smelled heavily of wax. Disapointingly my favourite Christmas xandle "Sparkling Cinnmon" was horrible .

I didn't like any pine-ey ones , they all remind me of loo cleaner and made me queasy .

We have cats now so candles are off the agenda . I'll have a look at the Scenticles Xmas Grin

FrightClub · 22/11/2020 08:35

Charles Farris Pinetum is beautiful: Christmassy, not loo cleaner-y.

whatswithtodaytoday · 22/11/2020 08:39

Skandinavisk Slog candle, as pp said. It's not quite the Christmas tree scent, but it's lovely and piney and I love it.

The Jo Malone sticks smell really fake to me.

Danes put candles on their trees. Xmas Smile only for the one evening, though...Then we hold hands in a big circle around the tree and walk/dance around it whilst singing hymns.

Can’t help with your question OP but it looks like you’ve had some great suggestions.
