We want to make our own this year. I’d like to fill them with something ‘perfik’ for each person. Any recommendations for a ‘kit’? Thank you

It's much easier and cheaper to buy pretty but cheap crackers, undo one end, tip out the tat, replace with good things and re-tie.

The Works do a few different diy packs at a decent price

We've bought The Works again, we got them last year and they went down well. I put a chocolate and a scratch card in ours.

If you want to prettify them you can then add three strips of paper, ribbon round the middle and hot glue a decoration in the middle.

Too late for this year, but you can generally pick up crackers for pennies in January and if you look out for the really fat ones, you can get lots inside.

I made some really cheaply with a toilet roll tube and some Christmas tissue paper. You can buy the snaps for about £1 from stationers and Amazon.

Yes we do this, we do them all together with personalised designs on each. We put the youngest child in charge of jokes Smile
