Is anyone aware of any issues with Royal Mail deliveries at the moment? I’m a bit worried that something I’ve ordered via Shpock hasn’t come after more than a week. Also waiting on something from the beginning of the month but I had assumed that one was lost. Yet they have also delivered from big retailers and these have arrived quickly? Just wondered if anyone else has had any issues so I can make other arrangements if things have been lost.

Yes, something I sent first class took 12 days to arrive. Also I am receiving letters sent over one week ago. A family member is getting one big pile of post about once a week and nothing in between. I spoke to the PO and they said they were a lot of postmen down.

Now you say it, yes. The last week we only got Mail once and it was quite a lot. Some were dated quite a while back.

I’ve had some things come very quickly via RM, others not, so IMO it must depend at least partly on the supplier.

I posted a small parcel to a dd earlier this week - it arrived within 48 hours. Another I sent recently - present for newborn twins - also arrived quite quickly.
Maybe we’re just lucky around here. (Sw London).

It’s varying from area to area, sickness is having a big impact and current workloads are higher than usual because of lockdown.
DP is a postie and where he works is fine but colleagues at another office nearby have told him they’re several days behind and cannot get on top of it.

Lots of delays here, many posties are off sick or isolating so barely getting any post. Luckily most places use couriers so it’s only the odd item anyway.

Christmas lights dispatched 2nd class Royal Mail on Monday and still not here! From what has been said here it's going to be a while longer!

I received a letter a couple of days ago that was dated nearly two weeks ago. I’m in the South East and I believe the letter was posted in the South East.

A family member works for RM in the North West. The last time I spoke to him was a couple of weeks ago but he said they were really snowed under, he’s doing 2-3hrs overtime a day on top of his 8hr shift. Not sure what the situation is like now.

Lots of issues where we are. Can't train the temps because people are off sick or self-isolating, not enough posties at the moment.

Yep some things quite slow and they claimed to try and deliver a parcel wed when I was home all day but I didn’t have anyone knock or anything so had to book a redelivery .

Yep, I had a parcel dispatched Monday and it’s still not here, hoping it comes early next week.
