The Harvest Moon series have a similar farming/foraging and selling game mechanic. We haven't played the switch one but both children enjoyed the DS editions.

Stardew Valley

My Time at Portia is good, after the update. Just a warning that Stardew Valley is fantastic but has some adult themes that might not be suitable for little ones? Express mentions of suicide and PTSD, implied affairs and subtle sexual jokes and drug references. Its not a dark or adult game, it just has its moments.

@Whosthatpokemon I had no idea! I haven't played it long enough. Might well do now!

Im a huge animal crossing fan and my two other favourite games at the moment are two pint hospital and overcooked.
