I know we discuss this every year, but what do you think Graham and Iris do?

Iris moves to LA and lives with the NDN as his assistant/carer. He teaches her the skills of script writing before dying in his sleep contently and he leaves her the house in his will, along with all the rights to his films. She is now financially independent, has a Separate Together relationship with Jack that lasts forever. He keeps proposing but she can’t be arsed with it.

Graham moves next door to live with Amanda and she sets him up with a publishing company that specialises in biodynamic vegetable growing. It is a moderate success so she buys him a vineyard to keep him busy. He drinks all the profits and she finally boots him out for being too needy. He cries. A lot.

Ok - Amanda moves in with Graham but insists that the cow has to go. She transfers her company over to the U.K. and in 2010 they get the gig for a little company called Love Productions, making the trailers for a new baking show.

Yes! She’s permanently pissed as she a) set up a studio in the old cowshed so she doesn’t need to drive b) is very bored in Godalming. Graham is having second thoughts about their relationship but he disguises this and hides behind the brandy bottle and they are both grumpy in the mornings with secret hangovers as neither has confessed to the other about their secret drink habits. Sophie and Olivia take the empty bottles to school as part of their “What do your parents do at the weekend?” show and tell and Graham is quickly summoned in to see the Headteacher.

Well, then the big house has to go, I’m afraid. Amanda’s LA house is pretty cool though. I’m sure the girls could be bribed with having their own pool. Sophia and Lucy love it in LA. They have their own IG accounts and hire pink open topped Cadillacs and limos for their birthdays and their U.K. friends get well jel as they can’t replicate the weather back in Blighty.

Fast forward to 2020: Sophie graduated from Brown and is now an actor’s agent. Olivia dropped out of UCLA to become a make up artist as she interned on a few Marvel movies and technically won an Oscar for her wigs but her boss took the credit.
