Please recommend a coffee machine

What is the best / smallest coffee machine that makes lattes / cappuccinos? With capsules.

I’ve seen some great slim line machines but they just seem to make espresso. I don’t really want anything that involves addition washing up / effort as I know it will put us off using it.

Running out of ideas for DP. I didn’t think a coffee machine would work in our small kitchen but coming around to it now!

The pod ones use dried milk powder for latte / cappucino and they are GRIM.

For a pod machine I'd go with one of the nespresso creatista machines. They have a steam wand for milk frothing and they much better to clean than the lattisima machines.

I'd recommend the Lavazza pod machines with the milk frother attached. We had one and the coffees were great.

Swear by our Nespresso virtuo machine. It makes proper mug and cup sized coffees from a pod.

The milk frother is separate, we bought an aeroccino because it was on offer, but Aldi are doing an identical one in this weeks special buys.

We keep the aeroccino in the fridge with milk already in it but wash it every day or two, but takes seconds.

We have a Nespresso creatista and it’s great (uses real milk not powdered)

PeggyMoo · 17/11/2020 14:21

@BillyAndTheSillies - do you do the milk separately and then just stir in?

How do people find cleaning the nespresso creatista? It’s more than I wanted to spend but I worry about getting a cheaper one and then having to upgrade it!

Exactly that @PeggyMoo the capsule comes in loads of different sizes so you can adjust the amount of milk you froth to match the coffee type.

Which? have a very good review which also takes into account the environment and machines that use less plastic, or recycled or compostable pods.

Nespresso everytime! Simple to use and easy to clean I have a 10 year old one with Aerocino which is still going strong( my son's cast off!)
Nespresso also do a pod recycling scheme now
Expensive but worth every penny
Just bought my son the Citi z for Christmas

Nespresso for standard espresso or latte, just add milk and stick in the microwave for a minute. Aeroccino for capuccino and hot chocolates too Grin.
