I’m buying a gift for a Christmas Mr x appeal and dh picked the label and got a 10 year old boy.
I know nothing about what interests 10 year olds. I have no family around that age so I’m at a loss.
Anyone have any suggestions? Around the £40 mark.

My 10 year old ds doesn't like legs, he likes uno cards games, books tom fletcher, David walliams and David bareil all have new books out. Spiderman, joke books, stretch Armstrong was a big hit

It's pretty impossible to know because like adults childrens tastes vary, My DS and his friends at that age (a few year ago) loved:

  1. minecraft (every kid I know boy or girl LOVES minecraft and also Roblox which is a similar but slight less mainstream option)
  2. fortnite
  3. nerf
  4. football (all DS friends do but my brother never did)
  5. any toilet humour (woopie cusions, poo putty, those raindeers that poop chocolate raisens etc... a lot of girls liked this too, I think thats just where humour is at that age)

That said I have know other children that are more into magic, cars or outdoor things so this might just be that my DS has attracted logically to kids with similar likes to him.

I honestly dont know any kids that 'love' lego... its alway a top suggestion but my kids have never even looked at the expensive lego they have been bought by people and non of their friends seem to play with it either (they spend most their time on xbox/PS and when they play its nerf or football) or even have it (never seen it on 'play dates' in the last 8 years).

My son has on his list- lego sets, nerf gun, slime kit, hot wheels sets, scooter.

Fortnite 🙄
Mine are 8 and 10 and no longer like lego. Stunt scooter could be got with that budget. Cheapest fitbit also went to under 40 on prime day. Walkie talkies, david walliams, david baddiel or diary of wimpy kid books.
