Stocking fillers that won’t end up in landfill?

I’m looking for ideas for stocking fillers - so cheap ish nice little gifts but that won’t just be another piece of plastic tat that gets chucked in the bin before new year.

I normally put in some edible stuff (chocolate and a tangerine!)

Any ideas welcome, my boys are 8, 7 and 3!

I've always put a couple of satsumas in the toe of the stocking - these must be eaten first and then chocolate for breakfast is allowed :) :)

I love stocking opening. Our DS still comes into our room to open his - he is now a big strapping 21 year old. DH nips down and switches on the christmas tree lights and makes sure Santa has actually left the building :) and makes us all a quick cuppa/glass of orange to get the day started.
