Anyone know their Champagne?

I'd like to get a really delicious bottle of Champagne in for Christmas. But I would also like to do so as cheaply as possible.

So are brands like Bollinger, Tattinger, VC, LP, Moet the only ones worth getting? Or can you get a bottle that tastes good for £20-£30?

Don’t get Moët- we did some champagne tasting a few years ago and it wasn’t as nice as the others.

Louis Roederer came out top for us. But Bollinger, Pol Roger or Veuve Cliquot would all be nice.

When I lived in France they recommended (for cheaper/more affordable champagne):
Nicholas Feuillatte
Charles de Cazanove

I bought a few bottles from Intermarché for €17 each. Très bien.

But I can also second what people are saying about Cremant.
It was far cheaper and tasted just as nice.
I drank loads of Cremant d'Alsace last winter!!!!
