Waffle maker

I’ve bough DH a waffle maker for Xmas as he’s mentioned one a few times over the year. I was thinking of getting him some
bits to go with it like sauces and accessories but I have no idea. I don’t think I’ve ever had a waffle in my life!

Well I'm guessing all the usuals like a good maple syrup (not the maple syrup flavoured ones that are sometimes sold cheap) etc. Off topic but both Lidl and Aldi frequently have good maple syrup at a fraction of the price of other supermarkets.
Also, how about a waffle recipe book? With different ideas for sweet, savoury, topping etc. I'd have a google at Belgian waffles and also recipes. Belgium is really where it's at if you want a good waffle!

Nice syrups
Maybe some good flour - I think Dutch waffles are traditionally made with spelt flour, but I may have just dreamt that.

Cinnamon sugar sprinkled on a buttered waffle is lush

Squirty cream and mixed red berries warmed through.

Brandy butter (well it is Xmas!)

Can I ask what waffle maker you’ve gone for one of the kids loves waffles and it might be a good surprise

This is very silly (waffled crab?), but also has a few actual recipes:

We put sauce icecream on ours.

I got a toasted sandwich maker, but you can change the plates for waffles or panini.

I have not tried the waffle maker yet.
