Hi , has anyone bought their teen a zoo keepers day at London zoo? It’s pricy but I know my dd would love it
Is it worth the price ?

Mine are a bit young for that but when older I could imagine it being the best gift ever!!!

I would make sure the voucher has a long expiration date though incase they close again!!!

My grandchildren did something similar at Whipsnade Zoo and absolutely loved it.

Got it for my DH for his 40th. Was spectacular.
He cleaned out enclosures, hand fed rhinos, hand fed giraffes, it was utterly phenomenal.
They were also super brilliant at extending his voucher. You got a year to use it and we had to ask for an extension due to a bereavement just as he was originally about to do it - they gave us an extra year.
Book it. Totally worth it.

Thankyou , it’s reassuring to know that it’s worth the money , I’d love to do it myself 🐘🐼

My DD and her cousin did something similar at Bristol Zoo and loved it. Really worth the money. They were younger, but got to go in with some of the animals to feed them, make their food, handle others... it was brilliant.

I know it's a distance from you, but for others reading this we did a similar day at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Amazing day, the ranger was fantastic. Pretty expensive, but was well worth the money. I'm now looking at the ranger work experience days for my DDs next birthday.

I have done as has my DD. It was awesome and worth every penny.

If money is a bit tight I can also recommend the keeper experience at Paradise Wildlife Park in Hertfordshire.

My son has done a few (wants to be a zookeeper!) and they've been amazing.

My DS did one at ZSL a few years ago and absolutely loved it. He is also doing one next year at Longleat :)

Slightly different, but I did a big cat feeding experience at the Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent. It was amazing 😍😍 One-to-one with one of the keepers for about 1.5-2 hours, learning all about the different individual animals, and hand-fed tigers and a jaguar.
