I'm really pleasantly surprised by the John Lewis ad!

I was expecting grandparents FaceTiming grandparents while their NHS worker parents went to work with rainbows and clapping.

Love the different animation types and love the simplicity of passing on good deeds to one another. Bravo!

Surprised there's not one headline character either for them to capitalise on (Mog, Dragon etc)

I've also seen;
Amazon - fantastic concept
McDonalds - all the feels
Aldi - love Kevin & Katy

I quite like it too, not gut wrenching but appropriate for this year.

Oh, just posted on the other thread. I really liked it. Thought it was spot on for this year.

I was also underwhelmed.

Nothing will top the penguin one.

I read this article about it yesterday on the Guardian and I like how much effort and thought they're making to give to charities, support animation etc. even if it's all part of their annual Christmas ad/pr stunt.

I was pleased to see less "buy this" and I like the message of kindness. It made me well up.

I think I am just hard hearted as I am underwhelmed by most of them. The only one I sort of like is the Very one.

My favourite was a Co-Op one from a few years ago set in a village hall (I think) with the community singing.

Very is fantastic. McDonalds is beautiful, made me cry. I love it.

John Lewis is crap Confused Their best ever was the one where the little boy was desperate for it to be Christmas so that he could give gifts to his family.

One of my all time faves is the Tesco one with Rod Stewarts “Forever young” playing. It shows Christmas over the years, and as the years go on, the kid’s grow up and the Grandparents are no longer there Sad
