Back at tge beginning of October I bought some Lush bath bombs to store for Christmas stockings. On the website it said store in a cool dry place so when the box arrived I didn't open it, just put it at the back of a wardrobe. The wardrobe is dry, I thought and its October so it wont be warm. Today my daughter was talking about Lush and she mentioned that their products have a short shelf life because they are natural products and dont have additives. I am now under the impression that I wont be able to gift them and that my money has been wasted! I have emailed and texted them and am waiting for a response but I wonder if any of you have had any experience with storing them. I dont want to get them out to wrap and find they have gone off!

Nah you’ll be grand.
Their ballistics usually have a shelf life of 14 months.

I have stored them before, I only go to lush a couple times a year so buy a few bits and use them at a later date. I think the use by dates are usually a couple months mainly because they can loose some of their scent if left out in the open. I have some soap that I bought a couple weeks ago and some body conditioner, I can check the dates on them for you and see how long they are meant to be kept for? I have bought dd some bath jelly to go in her stocking and I’m sure it will be fine.

I think you need to be more wary of things like the face masks which need refrigeration and have a short shelf life.

Yeah that's more applicable to their creams etc and not their rubbish soap.

The bath bombs will still look and smell great but might not be as fizzy. A couple months should be fine, just let the recipient know to use them quickly!

They is a best before date on the packaging and they don’t ‘go off’.

A couple of weeks ago I used the last bath bomb of a set I was bought the Christmas before last! 🙈 I went a bit mad in the sale that year! Didn’t notice anything off about it!

Thank you again for the input. These were sent naked, as Lush calls it,ie they are boxed with very little packaging but from your comments I'm sure they will be fine 😁
