Bought my son 4600 fifa points today for xmas, get home and realise its for fifa 20, he plays fifa 21. Smyths won't change them because its a download code.

Oh well there goes £31 down the drain😫😫

Oh no what a nightmare. I don't know anything about FIFA points but can you sell them on eBay even if you only get half the money for them

I don't think anyone will buy them, its a download code so I've no way of proving i havent used it. Nightmare

It's a small chance but you could try emailing EA support to see if they will switch them.

Does he have FIFA 20 on the same console?

@SoupDragon I've just read up on transferring them over but it's got to be done the very 1st time he plays the game😔 Il try emailimg EA and see if theres anything they can do

DS1 seemed to think it wouldn't be a problem. I know nothing - he plays it all the time and has done for years 😂

It’s not a problem, they won’t go on the game until you actually put in the code if that makes sense so he can put it on which ever game he is playing.

@ihearttc the points are only redeemable on fifa 20. He doesnt play 20 anymore.

Why are they only redeemable on Fifa 20? They are generic Fifa points? Or at least the ones I buy are, I assumed they are all the same.

@ihearttc i bought them from smyths toy store and theres a tiny picture of fifa 20 on the gift card, i didnt see it until after i'd purchased them

They in touch with smyths again OP and tell them that you asked to buy a fifa points gift voucher and instead have been given points for a specific game. I too thought that the points were generic so it’s clearly not a daft assumption to make as that’s several of us on this thread. Insist they change the voucher for what you actually asked for

@DancingWithWillard somebody else I know has made the same mistake aswell. They need to make it clearer! I will definately be contacting smyths again in the morning.
