Cake pop maker!!

Really hoping someone on here can point me in the right direction! DD aged 12 has decided she's desperate for a cake pop maker - specifically the 'babycakes' one she saw at a friend's house. Now, I remember a few years ago when these were all the rage - everywhere had them!! Now though, they are like rocking horse poop. The babycakes is sold out everywhere, American Amazon has it, but will cost a total of $57 to get it here, which is more than I wanted to spend.
I've seen one for £39.99, but even that seems a lot when the babycakes one is £12? I've found some on eBay, but they're all used with battered boxes, which I'm not keen on.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd be super grateful.
Ps. I have looked at the silicone trays, but I don't think that would quite cut it....

I thought I saw one as an Aldi special buy but it was a churro maker. Does she like those? You could use it to make cake fingers Grin

To be honest we've got one knocking about and it was a two month wonder. Even for making mini doughnuts.

@FannysSteadiedBuffs - thank you, I'll have a look at Aldi. I totally get the two minute wonder thing, that's why I don't want to spend much! I can just about suck up £12 wasted, (although I'm a keen baker, so would probably use it myself), but not £40.....
