What construction sets are there for 5 yo - BRIO ??

We have had some Brio wooden build sets, but what else is there ? Meccano junior ? What do your DC like ?

Hape do a construction toy very similar to Brio builder too, not sure which is better.

Brio starter set in the blue tool box we had .. the connectors are quite sniff to pull out and would qualify under little bits, but the pulling out tool works. It's quite nice, not perfect just hmmm considering the other options as I've made the 3 suggestions in the Brio booklet so many times with DS

Can someone help me with magformers please. I have bought my 2 DS a set each which totals 56 pieces. This is their main Christmas present. Will this be enough for them to play with happily together or should I buy more pieces?

I find the more the better with magformers. My child loves building towers. I've just ordered some some for christmas in there sale.

@Postmanbear I've been researching all the magnetic tiles (we have some small ones from Lidl that are played with but I want to upgrade) and I've settled on Playmags, Magnatiles or Connetix over Magformers, because they are bigger, and most reviews I've read for these suggests 100 as a decent minimum amount.

@frankie246 where did you buy them please? Ds5 loves them along with geomags and knex.

Thanks for the advice @user68634 but I’ve already bought two sets of magformers so I’m stuck with that brand now as they aren’t compatible
