Any ideas for 3 year old girl Christmas presents she really doesn't want anything apart from a pink car but I'm reluctant to buy that as she had a ride on last year

My 3 year old is getting duplo and one of the younger Lego sets, a keyboard with mic and some frozen bits.

KitKatastrophe · 08/11/2020 08:22

3 year olds are easy, they love everything!

How about

  • scooter or bike
  • playmobil or other small world
  • lego, magoformers, Knex or other construction
  • dressing up stuff
  • teepee or tent for bedroom
  • kinetic sand or playdoh
  • books, sticker books
  • craft kits, science kits, cookery kits

Are you sure she means a pink car for her and not a pink car for teddy or dolly. Ask who goes in the pink carSmile

Last year my 3yo wanted a Spiderman bike, his gran was convinced it was a cartoon bike for him, I was fairly sure it was a bike for Spiderman. I was rightGrin

As well as his Spiderman bike, other things he got were duplo train, magformers (although I find them irritating), toy story imaginex.
Recently he seems to have rediscovered Paw Patrol so back to that.

Woaah @orangetriangle did you leave anything for her parents to get her?! You obviously care about her very much but that is more than enough for a 2 year old in total, never mind off one auntie.

CloudyVanilla · 12/11/2020 02:43

At that age I wouldn't worry if there isn't a "main" present per se - mine already have typical large item presents so I'm just getting them new age appropriate toys they will love - DS will have just turned 3 by Christmas and he is getting marvel duplo (he is mad for duplo) and he also loves minecraft so I'm getting him a set of minecraft figures which I imagine will have years of use.

Am also getting him little pokemon ball toys, a gruffalo teddy, minecraft watch, hopefully julia donaldson audibooks, a space torch, music box, spinning top set and some lego figures and nintendo figures

No single huge item but he will love everything :)

Isadora2007 · 12/11/2020 08:32

@user68634 you don’t know the child’s situation or her mothers. @orangetriangle might be earning a decent amount of money and her sister struggling for cash etc. For the first 6/7 years of my older children’s lives I happily delegated all the bigger gifts to the extended family as we were not well off at all. We always did the stockings and small other parcels that were loved- but the big ticket items were given by in laws mostly... and it wasn’t an issue.
It’s a lovely list of ideas for any two year old.

orangetriangle · 12/11/2020 08:56

user68634 my sister is a single parent so I like to buy for her like this my own two children are grown up now. I always wanted a third child but for genetic reasons was too scared to so to me this is the third child I never thought I would have
My sister has got her
baby annabell
scooter
stickler bricks
dressing gown and pjs
umbrella which she is desperate for!!
wooden bits for her kitchen
wooden cash register
puzzles
hairdressing set
helmet for her scooter
Yes she is a very lucky little girl but she is a much wanted baby that my sister thought she would never be able to have

orangetriangle · 12/11/2020 08:56

GameSetMatch · 13/11/2020 14:43

Brio trains
Puppy in my pockets
Thomas minis and track
Toot toots
Rockit twist (my three year old loves it even though it’s 4+)
